Spitzer gets taken out...

magicalwonderlandcarnivalco. presents

Eliot Spitzer, what we're you thinking? It's a wild party scene in New York? The Emperor Club VIP website was available to anyone who had internet. That's a lot of people. Open, shut case for the feds. What a tough investigation? Why go after Spitzer now? It's politics and sex. How are we to survive such a scandal? It's sick and wrong. Is public office the best vocation for these men? Their prodigious sexual appetites are best served in private. Although, you're a target when you take on the Bush administration. Which is just what Eliot Spitzer did! His editorial piece in the Washington Post, last February 2007 described the goal of the mortgage crisis.(google for a copy of the editorial). How the Bushites used the OCC to cause this failure in the lending 'game'. On purpose! If our economy takes a fall will the Federal Reserve bail us out? Unlikely? 'They' have much to gain from an economic collapse of this size. The chaos in Iraq has made 'them' excessive amounts of money. Still is! But, that's why 'the Fed' was created in 1913, right? To save the U.S. economy from a disaster. A secured, final bank to assist in the gravest times of economic need. Not probably the intent of the founders, J.P. Morgan and J.R.Rockefeller. Poor guys? Weren't they publicly elected officials burdened with the difficult task of creating a National Bank? Nope, they were the richest in the land and knew the potential for a banking institution which prints all the money it wants, whenever. Why would the Bushites want to purposely cause our economy to collapse? Maybe, that was the goal in 1913?
It's a 3 trillion dollar bill in Iraq. Who's getting this check? We've outsourced our economy and our precious industry to other countries. China, S.Korea, Japan, and the oil producing countries are enjoying 'open trade' relationships with the United States currently. We've taken massive loans from these same countries to afford Iraq and other disasters. Wait! We owe these countries for our overspending pathology. Who let that happen? The very countries with whom we're recklessly trading have us in their pocket? Why are we giving away the United States so easily?
Did the 'Federal Reserve' also have this planned? The Federal Reserve is a body of men whom answer to no one. They act totally independently of legislation. They meet in secret. If you point the finger at them, like Spitzer, you'e out. They assassinated his personal life but how many others who've spoken out have just gotten assassinated?
Those wild political parties! Wonder how the Bushites spend their private time? Is Spitzer's idea of excitement that unique with this group? I bet the Bushies sponsor a wild party. Something like 'those' scenes in Eyes Wide Shut ? It's tough do you get a bigger high than robbing the coffers of millions of hard working Americans for personal gain. Getting away with that must be tough to top! It's only the Saddi's whom throw the unforgettable orgy. Their wealthiest have centuries of practice in the 'dark art' of lavish hedonism. We remain loyal to their rogue ways, policies, desires in the region. It's a fossil fuel addiction we have. How did all this obvious abuse happen? Why does it continue? Will history ever tell the story of the attack on the twin towers accurately? We're at war now! So, I guess it worked. We are watching this Bush administration give away our country? We do nothing to stop this theft. We talk about the beauty of Democracy as we militarily force it upon the globe like the tyrant's we've judged. Why? Will you, that's you reader, be ready when this ship sinks? Do you know anything about your food supply, your water, your land, your neighbors?
The land will prevail(maliciously scared with toxic pollution for profit sadly). The Bill of Rights, which was given away by Congress during the Bush administration, will fail like so many documents. Men are weak to power and, like Spitzer, sex. This has not changed. Our forefathers feared an aristocracy and now we are one! Worse, we have a military with itchy feet. The most modern killing machine in human history. Our leaders have no regard for anyone but themselves. They are in charge of this machine. Think about that! The U.S. military is in Iraq and countless places around the world. How soon till they're in 'our' country? In this United States, you say!? Doing what? Helping give coats to the poor and medicine to the sick? Hey kids, let's look to other colonial empires for answers? Hmmm, let's not that's very scary!
1 million Iraqi's killed, two million displaced, 1 million displace in Iraq, 4,000 U.S. killed and 100's of thousands with PTSD(low estimate). Just as they do over there, they'll do here. Military thinking is cancerous in nature, it dies only when it has eaten itself. What are you going to do reader?

Moose in the yard

magicalwonderlandcarnivalco. presents

There she is again. Solo now. I wonder were her momma's gone? Getting some sunshine and right near the canyon road. It's like a zoo with all the cars stopped. Folks are lined up for 50yds. It's now dawning on me that I should have taken a picture of the people and not just the moose. She's laying there quietly. Occasionally moving an ear or batting an eyelash. You can see her in action on the video.
I love the comments from the onlookers. Is she sick? Is she stuck? Is she pregnant? All stupid questions, I think. It's easy to see we view animals like we're in a zoo facility. Were is the zoo keeper for feeding time? Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat! We love technology while nature offends us. We're taught this from childhood. Good consumers aren't going to be spending if their 'wasting' their damn time looking outside. 'We need purchasers' to drive this religion of purchase power. This is democracy and it's the best thing for the whole globe. Unfortunately, technology doesn't function in a world governed by the natural law. Ya ya ya, the human experience determines the value of technology. I get that rhetoric. It's a worship of technology which makes us ignorant to nature. A reliance on technology makes us loyal consumers. We have put ourselves in boxes. Cages, rather, to keep us from nature. We've surrounded ourselves with comforts. We've left the natural world behind but it's continuing on as it always has before humans were here and will after we are all gone.
The moose is a great witness to the perseverance necessary in this wild earth. I live up here in the Wasatch. She survives with fur, with long legs, with years of evolution under her 'belt'. It's amazing how capable these animals are. It's a long cold extreme winter in the mountains. We'd rather not be bothered by nature. It's in the way. It's cold. It's hot. We'll freak when our technology fails which it will. We'll freak when the power isn't turning on in our houses or the water doesn't come out of the tap like we expect. The moose like all natural beings(humans included) live by the natural law. Technology cannot solve that 'little problem'.

Snow is my insulation

magicalwonderlandcarnivalco. presents

It's been record winter in the Wasatch this year. Unbelievable amounts of snow. What's wonderful beside the snowfall is my heating bill is minimal. I have so much snow at my house that it's insulating naturally. I have four walls sealed to the windows with tightly fallen snow which has acted like the perfect snow blanket. It's the ultimate to keep in heat. There is side effects. I'm in a cave, of sorts. My windows are sealed off. Really, the windows are blocked off from all the snowfall. I have to shovel over eight foot snow banks. My hips, writst, and lower back are sore always. There is a labrinyth of walkways which guides me around. All this labor but the reality is first rate insulation. I'm walking around in my cabin in shorts, often naked and not even feeling the cold. Outside, it's below freezing but inside the heat remains perfect.

Jazz and night out in SLC

magicalwonderlandcarnivalco. presents

Nowitzki literally roped Kirilenko around the neck and sent him slamming to the hard floor. Nowitzki, a 7ft. giant all-star, seemed to be going for Kirilenko first and the ball second. It was under the rim, directly. Both are mammoth in size and Kirilenko came down fast and hard. I heard the crash, saw the landing and watched as he pulled himself across the floor like a man dieing of thirst in the desert. In real pain. Nowitzki looked puzzled. Was his 'tackle' malicious? The crowd went berserk! Boo! Boo! Boo! Utah got two shots at the line and the ball out in Dallas territory. Stiff but no axe to Nowitzki. Our seats were row 10, west basket side. I saw the whole thing happen. This was early on in the game. Dallas was down by 26 at one point.
I watched Jason Kidd try and pull Nowitzki back into the game but his head wasn't having it. He's a seasoned veteran but the funk followed like a cloud. Every time he had ball possession the crowd immediately began to Boo! Boo! It was intense. In fact, the overall climate of the crowd was riotous. All these white folks getting emotional was somewhat unnerving. It's hard to imagine how this group handles traffic.
Now, I get it. Nowitzki did pull of a flagrant foul. It was odvious. Was it malicious? I don't know. He's a massive dude who goes monkey to the hole. There is no doubt he's a fighter, a professional, a mentally solid basketball player. Yet, the impact of that foul kept the momentum with the crowd. The constant hammering upon Nowitzki was tiring but it seemed to work. He could not keep a handle on the ball. Mistakes, missed shots, bad timing and a lack of continuity impaired him. Nowitzki, a seasoned veteran of the NBA was unable to kick the funk. Jazz took honors that night. Jason Kidd or god couldn't stop the fired up Jazz crowd from harsh verbal attack. Interestingly, it seemed to keep the usually high scoring Dirk Nowitzki in single digits and more of a hazard on the court for the Dallas Maveriks.

My mountain neighbors

magicalwonderlandcarnivalco. presents

The moose today was half in the stream and half on the snowbank. She was reaching for a group of twigs on the other side. Close to the water and favored to sunshine. Delicious. I had to stop. I've been watching this duo since summer. When the calf was born the momma would bring her down my lane for a bite amongst willows below my house. That kid was all legs and the hugest head. The calf had really grown up. Still kickin' about. Enduring a winter in UT is an accomplishment.
I was headed down the canyon. Spotted them in their favorite meadow on the south side of the road mid way down the canyon. This meadow had been the winter hideout, not so secret to the passing traffic but a terrific food supply exists. Willows, sunshine, flowing water. Moose condo with 'hot tub' amenities. I'd seen them there many times but this time was perfect. The calf was poised to pull in those fresh willows across the river bank. Momma watched on patiently. Calf completely stretched like some wild yoga posture that looked impossible. I wondered is she was proud of her young ambitious yearling or just layed about enjoying the sun not thinking at all. To think as a moose would be tiresome. It's cold? I don't have fire? My stomach is wet? My long legs are always getting in the way? I'm bigger than everyone else I meet in the forest? Questions that would never be answered. I pressed on down the mountain into SLC.
I love my mountain neighbors with the huge heads and long legs!

Skiing with my younger brother, Nate

magicalwonderlandcarnivalco. presents

This is about Nate. Nate is my younger brother. All Nate's ski equipment if from thrift stores or bargain racks. His skis are from the DI(Deseret Industries thrift store in SLC). I bought them in September. I shrieked when I saw them at the Sugarhouse location sitting in the rack. Just 10 bucks. They are a wide bodied, stiff ski similar to new ski technologies. Only, they're 8 years old. Stiff, short, fat: red grafics, Coyote.
Nate used to ski as much as I do. I ski almost everyday. I live in the Wasatch, UT. My house is at 7,800ft. I ski in and out my front door. It's like old Europe. I am an experienced backcountry skier so I use my mountain access gracefully. If I need to go up or down the canyon then I hitch-hike. Some mornings, I skin to Little Cottonwood(a long haul), head N. to Park Silly(poach some DV or PC mountain high speed lifts) but generally I hit my north facing slopes for consistent deep powder. One of the best set ups I've had in years and I've had some beauties in my day. Chile, Jackson, Mammoth, Lamoille, NV.
Back to Nate. Nate lives in Elko, NV. We were born there and our parents live there now. A breezy 4 hour jaunt from the Wasatch. That's good!
He skied the Coyotes I'd gotten him for the first time last week. I had the Diamirs I'd gotten him in Mammoth, CA mounted. The first generation with the straps. Personally, that Black Diamond binding went down hill after that year. We skinned north up the canyon behind my house. Nate was his usual self, covered head to toe in second hand gear. He knows he can rock it. Dude could ski on old 2X4 wood boards and kill it.
He was stoked to try his new technology out. I laughed, of course. New to one man is trash to another. Nate and I were raised on skis. He's always been a dynamite skier. This day out was no different. I videoed Nate all day. He learned as a racer in the old Stenmark days. "These new, short, fat skis are just less work," he remarked. He is better than the rippers at Alta, 'the bird', or 'the village'. He's so powerful, poised and brilliant on skis. It's an art to him. He's a true renaissance man on the hill.
